Meet Project SEEN
Strengthen. Engage. Empower. Navigate.
Project SEEN is a free, evidence-based school suicide prevention program that helps schools recognize concerns earlier, strengthen protective factors, and foster a culture of connection and support.
Developed from evidence-based research and more than a decade of experience serving North Texas schools, Project SEEN provides a practical, flexible framework that aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and complements existing student support systems.
The SEEN Model
Project SEEN is built around four guiding principles:
Strengthen
Build protective factors that promote resilience, connection, and student well-being.
Engage
Involve students, educators, families, and the broader school community in creating a culture of care.
Empower
Equip school communities with the skills, confidence, and resources to recognize concerns and respond effectively.
Navigate
Connect students to appropriate support services and trusted adults before challenges become crises.
